Evaluating the benefits to bats of on-farm habitat improvements. DFWT partners with local farmers to promote stewardship programs on farmland to benefit soil health and wildlife. We have monitored the positive impact of the grassland set-aside and hedgerow programs on wildlife and have recently expanded our survey scope to bats and their habitat usage in these farm area.
Connor is a field researcher with the Delta Farmland and Wildlife Trust where he studies waterfowl and local species-at-risk. He has worked on various wildlife projects throughout Canada including New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
