For the Tuesday December 12 outing to Boundary Bay at 64th there was an outstanding turnout of just 2 of us.  With only two sets of eyes (Christine and Alan) we formally throw down the gauntlet to the group on Wednesday to match.

Weather was absolutely stellar for December being sunny and 6C with no wind.  We walked as far as the pump house of the east side of the golf course (yes all the way from 64th).  A Belted Kingfisher was patrolling the house pond.  A few warblers were seen and a nice swarm of Pine Siskin.  We met a nice guy all the way from Calgary looking for a Short-eared Owl (which posed for us). There was nothing particularly rare seen but all the regulars made an appearance adding up to 35 species.  We did not see any Meadowlarks so as to leave a bit of room for the Wednesday group to beat us.
