Delta Naturalists Outing to the North 40, July 10, 2024
PHOTO: Cooper’s Hawk by Glen Bodie…. Some of those who skipped the trip to Manning Park on Tuesday came out to the North 40 park on Wednesday – Dottie, Bob and Glen. It was a sunny hot day, but the blast furnace of the last week had started to come back to normal BC temperatures.

Delta Naturalists Outing to Tsawwassen Ferry Causeway, June 25, 2025
One Delta Nat scoped the compensation lagoon & spit on a nice sunny balmy day to get closer views of the many Bonaparte’s Gulls in breeding plumage (only one with black head)!Several Whimbrel were foraging amongst the large roosting group of Great Blue Herons.Two Killdeer & three Black Oystercatchers also were present on this tiny land reserve.
