Delta Naturalists Society

We’re delighted you’re interested in joining the Delta Naturalists Society! Our annual membership fees are $47.00 for an individual and $62.00 for a family, incl. children. However, if you’re affiliated with another BC Nature club, the dues are $29.00 and $44.00, respectively.

What’s included in my membership?

• Weekly, organized nature field trips
• In-person and Zoom meetings with nature presentations
• Minimum twice per month DNS Newsletters with club updates, relevant news and other items of interest
• Frequent nature-themed posts on Facebook and Instagram
• Educational displays at community events
• Membership in BC Nature, a province-wide organization of about 50 naturalist clubs
• BC Nature’s quarterly magazine with regular articles on nature, conservation, the BC Important Bird Areas Program, Wildlife Tree Stewardship Program, and naturalist activities around BC
• Contribution to local environmental efforts

Please note that membership runs from September 1 to August 31 and renewals should be done by August 31 each year; although we do have a three-month grace period for new members who have joined shortly before this date.

How do I apply for / renew my membership?

ALL RENEWING AND NEW MEMBERS MUST fill out the following online Membership and Waiver form, hit submit, and then proceed to the next section for payment, which you can do via e-transfer, with a cheque, or online with PayPal:

How do I make membership payments?

Annual dues may be paid one of three ways:

1. E-transfer, through your bank
2. Cheque payable to Delta Naturalists Society
3. PayPal

E-transfer Instructions

Complete the membership form online and “Submit” them to Delta Naturalists Membership. Actual payment may be done on-line through your bank using Electronic Funds transfer as follows:

Log into your on-line banking account

1. Select “Transfers”
2. Select “e-Transfers”
3. Select “Send Money”
4. To set up DNS for the first time, select “Add Contact ” – Enter Name “Delta Naturalists Membership” Enter Email Address “dnsmembership@gmail.com”
5. Fill in transfer details: membership fees are $47.00 (individual), $62.00 (family), or $29.00 or $44.00 respectively, if you’re affiliated with another BC Nature club (please specify).
6. Select “Continue”, etc.

Cheque Payments

Complete the online Membership and Waiver forms above OR print them out, sign them, and mail the documents along with your cheque, payable to the Delta Naturalists Society, to the following address (please make sure to add your name so we know who you are!):

PayPal Instructions

The button below will take you to PayPal where you can pay online with a credit or debit card. Please note that membership dues are 3.5% more for debit / credit card payments due to transaction fees charged by PayPal (see total due below). Once you’re logged in:

• Select the ‘Send and Request’ tab at the top of your dashboard screen
• Make sure the option ‘Send’ is selected
• Insert the email address: dnsmembership@gmail.com
• Type in the amount of your membership fees (+3.5%): $48.65 for an individual, $64.17 for a family or $30.00 and $45.54 respectively if you’re affiliated with another BC Nature club)
• Hit ‘next’ and select ‘For goods and services’
• Then select or add a payment option (your credit / debit card details) and complete the payment.
• Make sure you’ve completed the Membership and Waiver form above!
