Madagascar: An encapsulated evolutionary wonder YouTube video link

This land of unique plants, animals, and insects is moving into a precarious phase as all the populations confront their limited resources. Where man encounters obstacles, evolution has guided animals to safe havens; however, industrial development in the form of resource extraction will likely destroy the delicate balance nature has been able to keep alive. How his story plays out is dependent on the political landscape and it is in need of visionary direction.

Don’t wait to visit this amazing island continent where it is thought a single ancestral pair of Aye-aye evolved into the more than 100 species of Maky (Malagasy for Lemur) that occupy Madagascar’s diverse habitats today.  Learn about the diversity of the Tana (Chameleon) in colour and size, and the remarkable limestone Tsingi.  This is truly a land of wonders.
