This June I was delighted to spend a few days in southern Saskatchewan with a group of Birds Canada staff, supporters, and Saskatchewan ranching partners. I learned about the local animals and plants and saw examples of sensitive lands management adjacent to Southern Grasslands Park.

Anne Murray is a keen lifelong birder, nature writer, conservationist, and active member of the Delta Naturalist Society in Delta, BC. Anne is also the author of the books “Nature Guide to Boundary Bay” and “Tracing Our Past”.

~~~
Anne has lived in Delta for more than 30 years and enjoys watching the area’s great variety of birds, including shorebirds, waterfowl, and warblers. Delta is an ideal city for someone enthusiastic about birds, with plenty of habitats such as beaches, forests, and farmland.
Anne has had a life-long interest in birds, nature, history and different cultures.  Born and educated in England, where she received her BSc (physics and geology), she has taught mathematics and science to every age group. She took up writing about nature, ecological history and conservation in 2004.  She has lived in Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Alberta and, for the last three decades, in Tsawwassen, British Columbia.
