Despite the wet forecast, 11 of the 15 registered Tuesday people met at the dyke at 11am.The rain was light and the tide was still out quite far. DNCB Outing No. 2021-34A to Iona Regional Park on August 24, 2021
13 people met at 8am, and we walked to the beach. There was a group of shorebirds that we had trouble identifying. Photos showed them to be Baird’s Sandpipers. A group of 7 met at 8:00 – they were David and Noreen, Warren and Lynn, Roger2, Mike B2, and Marion S. The spit area was very quiet except for the usual Ring-billed Gulls accompanied by a singular California Gull, Savannah sparrows,and a juvenile Brown-headed Cowbird, plus several harbour seals kept an eye on us

DNCB Outing No. 2019-27 to Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, TFN Boardwalk, and Reifel Bird Sanctuary
Thirty-one folk participated in some or all of our Wednesday morning outing to the Tsawwassen Ferry terminal, then the Tsawwassen First Nations (TFN) boardwalk, then at Reifel Bird Sanctuary on Westham Island.
