DNCB Outing No. 2016-1 to Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty, Ladner Fields and Alaksen WMA
Only five DNCBers ventured out in the rain yesterday (Tuesday) on a “revised” local outing to the Tsawwassen Ferry Causeway, through Ladner Farmers’ fields to Alaksen Wildlife Management Area (WMA) on Westham Island. DNCB Outing No. 2015-48 to Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest Park, Surrey
Twenty-three DNCBers spent our weekly Tuesday morning outing at Boundary Bay (104th St.), Elgin Heritage Park, Blackie Spit (BS), and then toured Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest Park with Dr. Roy Strang. DNCB Outing No. 2015-37 to Boundary Bay and Reifel Bird Sanctuary
About 25 folk participated in various aspects of Wednesday’s “erratic” DNCB outing to Boundary Bay at 104th and 96th Streets, then Reifel Bird Sanctuary. This was the alternate destination as our Mt. DNCB Outing No. 2014-51 around Boundary Bay at 72nd St.
Fifteen DNCBers enjoyed a glorious, sunny, Monday morning walking the Boundary Bay Regional Park dike path at 72nd Street. Lots of hi-lites including: Townsend’s Solitaire, Golden Eagle, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Sparrows including Lincoln’s and a sun tan.
