DNCB Outing No. 2023-22A to UBC Botanical Garden, May 30, 2023
Ten birders spent a pleasant morning wandering through the UBC Botanical Garden – Jonathan, Terry, Don, Lidia, Dottie, Bob, Lee, Lorna, Deems and Lorraine. As Lee said, the variety of plants and trees more than made up for the lack of birds seen. In fact, they were likely responsible for the lack of birds seen.

Eight birders met at Queen Elizabeth Park on a cool morning that soon warmed up. We parked below the tennis courts on 37th Avenue to avoid the 4 dollar an hour parking fee. Another cold, windy, rainy day at Point Roberts for our intrepid group. One intrepid birder appeared at Lighthouse Marine Park, Point Roberts, this morning, for what turned out to be a solo birding expedition.
